The MOE AK drops in using your existing front handguard retaining cap, which means no permanent modifications to your rifle. That said, AKs come with loose manufacturing tolerances, so expect a snug fit that might require gentle persuasion with a mallet. Some users report needing minor filing on specific rifle models, but this is typical AK behavior and part of owning one of these rifles. The included polymer gas tube cover maintains the traditional AK look and works with factory cleaning rods.
