The Magpul MOE AK Fixed Stock brings modern ergonomics and practical features to the AK platform in a straightforward fixed design. Built from reinforced polymer with an A-frame construction, this stock is made in the USA and delivers the kind of durability you'd expect from Magpul while cutting weight compared to traditional furniture.
The key to this stock's installation is the included Zhukov-S wedge block fitment, which secures the stock to most stamped-receiver AK platforms. This design works with AK-47, AKM, and AK-74 rifles that have a fixed stock and single-tang trunnion. The wedge provides a stable interface without the need for complicated modifications on compatible rifles. That said, AK tolerances being what they are, you may need minor fitting depending on your specific rifle, but it comes with everything you need to get the job done.
Magpul included an internal storage compartment tucked under the cheek weld area, perfect for stowing the factory AK cleaning kit, batteries, or other small gear. For sling mounting, you get an integral QD sling socket and a 1.25-inch fixed sling loop at the rear, plus the option to add aftermarket QD mount kits if you need additional configurations. The rubber butt-pad features a non-slip surface and includes a rollover toe design that makes shoulder transitions smoother, especially when wearing body armor.
The stock's slim A-frame profile keeps things light and snag-free while maintaining a comfortable cheek rest. If you're running optics and want a higher sight line, Magpul offers optional cheek risers (sold separately) that snap onto the stock for easy customization without permanent modification. The design keeps your rifle's profile lean without sacrificing shoulder control.
The MOE AK stock is designed for stamped-receiver AK-47, AKM, and AK-74 rifles with a fixed-stock single-tang trunnion. It will not fit milled receivers like the Arsenal SAM7, Yugo pattern AKs, or Norinco Type 56S/MAK-90 variants. Most WASR and Century Arms rifles with stamped receivers are compatible, though minor fitting may occasionally be needed depending on receiver tolerances.
Installation is straightforward for most compatible rifles and typically takes 5-15 minutes using basic hand tools. The wedge block system is designed to be user-friendly. Some rifles may require very minor fitting or adjustments to the included screws depending on receiver dimensions, and YouTube tutorials can walk you through any questions. Magpul includes alternative fasteners and detailed instructions to help with the process.
Yes. The MOE AK stock is compatible with optional snap-on cheek risers (sold separately) that allow you to achieve better eye alignment with optics mounted on your rifle. The cheek weld is designed to work well with standard iron sights right out of the box, and the risers add height when needed for higher-mounted optics.
The compartment is optimized to fit a standard factory AK cleaning kit and has room for batteries, small spare parts, or other essentials.
