The Magpul MOE Fixed Rifle-Length Stock in Gray is one of those upgrades that makes an old A1 or A2 rifle feel new again without any gunsmithing headache. It slides right onto a standard rifle-length receiver extension and replaces those dated triangular factory stocks with something that fits better, holds gear, and takes a beating. If you're running a classic 20-inch AR build or a retro clone, this is the easy button.
The body is molded from Magpul's tough reinforced polymer, so it shrugs off drops, weather, and hard range days. The slim profile and sloping cheek weld give you a cleaner, more natural head position than the boxy A2, and the shape is built with offhand and field positions in mind. Out back you get a replaceable anti-slip rubberized butt-pad that grabs your shoulder and keeps things from sliding around during a long string of fire. Overall length runs about 10.4 inches with a length of pull right around 13.5 inches, and the stock alone weighs in near 14 ounces.
Lift the hinged butt-pad and you'll find a large internal storage compartment that's perfect for a cleaning kit, spare batteries, or small parts you don't want rattling loose. For carry, there's an integral 1.25-inch sling loop on the bottom rear, plus optional dual-side QD mounting points that accept up to 1.5-inch push-button swivels. Those QD cups take the Magpul Type 1 Sling Mount Kit (MAG333), sold separately, if you want quick-detach capability. Knockout bosses on the underside also let you add an optional accessory rail down the road.

If your rifle already runs a fixed A1 or A2 stock on a standard rifle-length receiver extension, this is a straight drop-in swap. It mounts without the A2 spacer. If you're converting a carbine with a collapsible stock, you'll need to add a rifle-length receiver extension tube, rifle buffer, and spring, which are not included.
The stock has the molded-in provisions for QD mounting on both sides, but the actual QD sockets are not included. To add quick-detach capability, you'll want the Magpul Type 1 Sling Mount Kit (MAG333), and adding the Type 2 kit gives you an ambidextrous setup. As it comes, you still get the integral 1.25-inch sling loop for a traditional sling.
The hinged butt-pad opens to a large internal compartment that's handy for a compact cleaning kit, spare batteries, or small parts and tools. It's a great spot to keep essentials from rolling around your range bag. Everything stays tucked away and secure until you flip the pad open.
The MOE runs a slimmer profile with a sloping cheek weld, so it tends to give a more natural head position than the boxy A2. The anti-slip rubber butt-pad also grips your shoulder better and helps cut down on slippage during longer sessions. The overall shape is designed with offhand and field holds in mind.
