It's a four-piece polymer setup that gives your MOE hand guard or forend a spot to mount any 1913 Picatinny-compatible weapon light, so you can finally get some real illumination out front without switching to a whole new handguard.

What the MOE Illumination Kit Actually Does

The kit positions your light further forward on the handguard, which is a big deal if you're working with a shorter MOE forend and don't have much real estate to play with. That extra reach keeps the head of the light out past your support hand and clear of the muzzle, so you're not fighting shadows or crowding your grip. Inside the box you get a short rail section, a cantilever rail mount, two Surefire-optimized pressure switch pad mounts covering both old and new switch styles, and all the mounting hardware. That means most folks can bolt this on and be done without a trip back to the parts drawer.

MOE Kit Fitment and Build

One thing to nail down before you order: this is built specifically for legacy Magpul MOE hand guards and forends, and it also plays nice with the Bushmaster ACR handguard. It is not made for M-LOK handguards, so if you've upgraded to M-LOK you'll want a different mounting solution.
