If you've knocked the pad off your Magpul stock, worn one down, or you're building a carbine from spare parts, the MAG315 is the exact 0.30-inch rubber butt-pad that Magpul ships from the factory. It's the same piece that comes standard on Mil-Spec CTR and MOE Carbine stocks, so you're getting OEM fit rather than a guess-and-check aftermarket part. The rubber is on the firm side by design, which gives you a solid, planted feel against the shoulder instead of a squishy pad that shifts around when you're getting behind the gun.

What the MAG315 Butt-Pad Actually Does

Two jobs, really. First, that firm rubber grabs your shoulder and keeps the stock from sliding as you settle into position, which pays off when you're running the gun fast or wearing gear. Second, it takes the beating so your stock doesn't. Set the rifle down hard or catch a corner and the pad absorbs the hit and shrugs off the drop instead of chewing up the polymer. The 0.30-inch thickness keeps things slim and low-profile, so you get the protection without adding noticeable length of pull.

Fitment for the MAG315 Rubber Pad

This pad is a direct fit for the CTR and MOE Mil-Spec Carbine stocks, plus all STR, ACS-L, and ACS stocks, and the original UBR. It mounts up with your existing hardware, so installation is a couple of screws and you're done. Worth knowing: it can be run on Commercial-Spec MOE and CTR stocks too, though on those you may lose the fully collapsed position because of the slanted commercial buffer tube. It is not made for the MOE Fixed Carbine Stock.

Made in the USA and built to Magpul's usual no-nonsense standard, this is one of those small parts that quietly makes a stock feel finished. If you want a little more cushion and a touch more length of pull, Magpul also makes thicker 0.70-inch and 0.80-inch versions, but the 0.30 is the true factory-spec replacement.
