No, the 17S style mounting device is sold separately. This version of the bipod is designed to clamp onto a 17S style mount that you attach to your rifle first. The tradeoff is quick-detach convenience, so once your mount is on you can pop the bipod on and off in seconds.
As long as you have an A.R.M.S. 17S style mount installed, this bipod will run on it, and it's compatible with most aftermarket 17S style mounts. That makes it a flexible choice for AR-platform rifles, chassis guns, and other setups where you want fast on-and-off capability. If your handguard is M-LOK or you already have a Picatinny section, Magpul makes those versions too, so match the bipod to your rail setup.
