This DE44L6MSG variant comes dressed in a Mil-Spec Green Cerakote steel slide with a black anodized frame and titanium gold accent controls. It looks like a purpose-built firearm rather than a showpiece, which is exactly the right vibe for something chambered in this caliber. The 6-inch barrel incorporates an integral muzzle brake that ports gas upward to fight muzzle rise, and combined with the gas-operated rotating bolt action, the result is a pistol that shoots noticeably softer than most people expect from a .44 Mag.
The single-action trigger breaks at a crisp 4 pounds, and the ambidextrous safety lever is well-placed for both left- and right-handed use.
