There's a reason the Desert Eagle has shown up in over 600 films and is one of the most recognized handguns on the planet. It's big, it's bold, and it delivers. The L5 takes that legacy and trims nearly a pound off the traditional steel-frame design by switching to a hard-coat anodized aluminum frame, making it noticeably easier to handle at the range without losing that massive Desert Eagle feel. In .357 Magnum, it's also the most approachable caliber in the Desert Eagle lineup, with more manageable recoil and the highest magazine capacity of any DE configuration at 9+1 rounds.
This specific configuration, the DE357L5MSG, pairs the black anodized alloy frame with a Mil-Spec Green Cerakote carbon steel slide and titanium gold controls. It's a sharp-looking combination that stands out from the standard all-black version. The 5-inch fluted barrel features Magnum Research's integral muzzle brake built right in, which helps manage muzzle rise on a platform that was originally engineered around much bigger cartridges.
