The Stribog SP9A1 uses proprietary magazines, so when it comes time to stock up on spares, sticking with factory Grand Power mags is the way to go. This is the genuine OEM 20-round straight magazine, manufactured in Slovakia to the same specs as the mags that ship with the gun. No guessing on fit, no compatibility headaches.
The body is made from high-impact translucent polymer, which does double duty: it holds up to regular range use while letting you see exactly how many rounds you have left without dropping the mag. Built into the body are round count witness marks at 10, 15, and 20 rounds, so you always know where you stand. The interior runs an anti-tilt polymer follower paired with a high-tensile stainless steel spring, which keeps each round feeding at the right angle and eliminates the kind of nose-dive jams that cheaper aftermarket mags can introduce. Aggressive ribbing on the body gives you a solid grip for fast reloads, even with wet or gloved hands.
The 20-round straight configuration is a practical choice for a few different reasons. It sits flush and handles well when shooting from a bench or barricade position, and it makes the Stribog noticeably more compact overall compared to the curved 30-rounder. For range sessions where you want the shorter profile, or if you just want extra mags on hand, these are the ones to grab. They drop free cleanly and lock up solid with no wobble.
This straight 20-round magazine is specifically designed and verified for the SP9A1 platform. The SP9A3 models are typically paired with the newer curved 30-round magazine. If you have an SP9A3, it's worth confirming compatibility with Grand Power or Global Ordnance before ordering.
The 20-round straight mag gives the Stribog a noticeably more compact and balanced profile compared to the curved 30-rounder. It's a solid choice for bench shooting, training drills where you want controlled round counts, or if you simply prefer the shorter stick. A lot of Stribog owners keep a mix of both on hand.
Yes, that's one of the practical perks of this design. The semi-transparent polymer lets you visually confirm rounds remaining without removing the magazine from the gun. There are also molded round count witness marks at 10, 15, and 20 rounds for quick reference.
These are genuine factory OEM Grand Power magazines manufactured in Slovakia to the same specifications as the mags bundled with the Stribog. Using factory magazines is the most reliable way to ensure proper feeding and fit with your SP9A1.
An anti-tilt follower keeps each round seated at a consistent angle as the magazine feeds, which helps prevent nose-down malfunctions that can happen when a follower rocks or tilts under spring pressure. Combined with the high-tensile stainless steel spring, it keeps the feeding cycle smooth from full capacity down to the last round.
Yes. The Stribog's double-stack, double-feed magazine design loads pretty easily by hand compared to single-feed designs that require more force. Most users have no trouble thumbing rounds in without any mechanical loader, even close to full capacity.
