It's constructed from blued steel with a reinforced follower and heat-treated spring, engineered to lock the slide back after the last round fires, which is a key feature of the LCP II platform.
The magazine comes with an extended floorplate already installed, plus a flush floorplate included in the box so you can swap between configurations based on your carry style. The extended version gives your pinky finger a rest point for better control and grip, while the flush version keeps the profile minimal for deep pocket carry. Neither floorplate adds capacity, both hold 6 rounds of .380 ACP.
It's important to note that this LCP II magazine is different from the original LCP magazine, even though they look similar. The internal geometry, follower design, and feed angle are completely redesigned for the LCP II's firing system. While the original LCP magazine will fit and function in an LCP II, it won't activate the slide lock feature. This magazine works with both the LCP II and the original LCP, but only the LCP II will lock the slide back on empty with this mag.
