This magazine is built for SR-25 and DPMS pattern AR-10 rifles. If your rifle uses the SR-25 or DPMS pattern magazine well, you're good to go. It won't fit M5 pattern receivers from Aero Precision or some other AR-10 variants that use different magazine specs, so verify your rifle's pattern before ordering.
With .308 Winchester, you're dealing with higher pressures and larger case dimensions than 5.56. Stainless steel is inherently harder and resists the stress cracks and deformation that aluminum can suffer. The DuraMag SS uses less material thickness (.020 inch stainless versus .040 inch aluminum) and still comes out stronger, so you get a tougher magazine without the weight penalty.
T-360 is a molecularly bonded Teflon coating that covers the entire magazine inside and out. It reduces friction for smoother feeding, resists corrosion from moisture and salt, and can't be scratched or peeled off like paint or anodizing. It's built into the material, so the protection lasts as long as the magazine does.
The orange Advanced Geometry Follower is designed to stay level and centered as it moves up the magazine body. This keeps rounds aligned consistently from first to last, reducing feed problems. Combined with LipLock technology at the mag lips, every round feeds with the same geometry, which matters when you're shooting precision or running high volumes.
