The Luth-AR MBA-3F takes a plain-Jane collapsible carbine stock and turns it into something you can actually build around your body. It slides onto your existing 6-position mil-spec or commercial buffer tube, so there is no need to swap out your whole buffer system. What you get in return is an adjustable cheek rest and a 3-axis butt plate, which means length of pull, comb height, and cheek rise all move to fit you instead of the other way around. It works with .223/5.56 AR-15 carbines and most .308 AR variants, and comes in Flat Dark Earth to match a tan build.
The cheek rest adds up to a full inch of height, which is a big deal if you are running a scope on a taller mount and tired of chin-welding the stock. The 3-axis butt plate assembly gives you about 1-1/16 inch of extra length of pull, plus vertical movement to seat the pad into your shoulder pocket and roughly a half inch of lateral cast to the left or right. That last one is the sleeper feature. Small tweaks in cast can make a rifle point more naturally, and most stocks in this price range do not offer it at all.
Built from super-strong glass-filled nylon, the MBA-3F comes in at right around 18 ounces, which is close to half the weight of some comparable adjustable stocks. A flat-bottom index set screw takes out the annoying wobble and rattle you get from a lot of collapsible carbine stocks, so it locks up tight in your chosen position. There is a Picatinny rail molded into the bottom rear of the body for a monopod when you want extra stability off a bench or in the prone, plus molded pockets that accept QD sling cups.
The FDE version ships with a hard butt plate rather than the softer rubber recoil pad found on the black model, though additional pads can be added if you want more cushion. It is a great match for a bolt-action AR upper, a precision build, or anyone still running a basic M4 stock who wants real adjustability without breaking the bank.
This is the stock assembly only, so it mounts to your existing 6-position mil-spec or commercial buffer tube. If you need the whole buffer system, Luth-AR sells the MBA-3 as a complete kit with the tube, buffer, spring, latch plate, and lock ring. For a stock-only swap onto a rifle you already have set up, the MBA-3F is what you want.
Yes, it is designed to adapt to both mil-spec and commercial 6-position carbine tubes. Keep in mind a few aftermarket commercial tubes that run larger than about 1.172 inches in diameter may be a tight fit. For standard tubes it slides right on and locks up with the anti-rattle set screw.

The Flat Dark Earth MBA-3F ships with a hard butt plate rather than the softer rubber pad found on the black model. It still balances comfort and control well for typical .223 and .308 AR use. If you want a softer feel, Luth-AR offers additional recoil pads that can be added separately.
