Luth-AR built the MBA-1 for folks who love the clean lines of a fixed rifle stock but still want to tune the fit like a bolt gun. It bolts onto a standard rifle-length A2 buffer tube on either an AR-15 or AR-10 and gives you an adjustable cheek riser plus adjustable length of pull, so you can build a proper cheek weld behind glass and set the stock to your reach. The whole thing is molded from glass-filled reinforced nylon, which is why it comes in tough and light at 1.26 lbs, roughly half the weight of a lot of comparable adjustable stocks.
The cheek piece raises up to an inch for a solid weld when you're running raised optics, and it slides fore and aft so you can line it up with your scope's eye relief. The rubber recoil pad extends the length of pull up to 1 1/16 inches using the adjustable buttplate. All of it moves with the finger-friendly knurled knobs, so you're not digging for tools at the range. Set it once and it stays put.
The whole assembly is fully ambidextrous and shoots comfortably off either shoulder. The cheek piece ships installed on the right side for right-handed shooters, but you can move it to the left in a few minutes if you're a lefty. Molded-in QD cup pockets sit on both sides, and there's a bag hook on the bottom for stability when you're shooting off a bench or a rear bag.
This one is important. The MBA-1 works only with rifle-length A1 or A2 round buffer tubes, and it will not fit a collapsible carbine tube with the six-position setup. It fits all .223 and 5.56 builds and most .308 and 7.62 rifles. No. The MBA-1 is built strictly for a rifle-length A1 or A2 round buffer tube and will not mount on a collapsible six-position carbine tube. If your rifle has a carbine tube, you'll want the Luth-AR MBA-3 or MBA-4 instead. Double-check your tube before ordering so you get the right fit.
Yes. It fits all .223 and 5.56 builds and most .308 and 7.62 AR-10 style rifles as long as they use a rifle-length A2 buffer tube. A few AR-10 setups with longer charging handles may need a small tweak to the cheek piece for full clearance, but for the vast majority of builds it drops right in.
