Luth-AR built the HG-LW15M Palm Handguard around one simple idea: your support hand should feel at home on the rifle. That triangular profile isn't just for looks. It fills the palm and gives you a natural, repeatable grip, whether you're running drills at the range or settling in behind a rest. The flat bottom lets you shoot off a bag or barricade without the rail rolling on you, which is a small detail that makes a real difference when you're trying to hold steady.
This one is the trimmed-down version of Luth-AR's classic Palm Handguard. It tips the scale at right around 11.85 oz, noticeably lighter than the standard M-LOK model that runs closer to 13.7 oz. The weight comes off thanks to the vented cartridge-style cooling cuts along the lower sides, which also give the airflow somewhere to go so heat sheds faster during longer strings. It's machined from 6061-T6 aluminum extrusion and wears a hard-coat anodized black finish that shrugs off wear and holds up to rough handling.
Up top you get a full-length Picatinny rail at 15 inches (14 inches at the top rail thanks to the angle cut), so there's plenty of real estate for your optic, backup irons, or a night vision setup. For everything else, there are three rows of M-LOK slots: one on each side and one along the bottom. That bottom row is where a bipod lives happily, and the side slots handle lights, hand stops, or a sling mount. The free-float design keeps the tube off the barrel, so nothing you clamp to the rail messes with your accuracy.
The HG-LW15M drops onto a standard AR-15 upper receiver and ships with its own barrel nut made from heat-treated alloy steel with a manganese phosphate finish, plus the mounting hardware. It plays nicely with low-profile gas blocks, so if you're running a lightweight or mid-length gas system you've got the clearance you need. Total weight with the barrel nut lands around 14.9 oz, keeping the front end of your build light and quick to point.
