The Legend Aftershock Orbit Clean Kit for .44/.45 caliber pistols packs a full cleaning setup into one tidy kit, so you're not hunting through drawers for the right jag or a fresh patch. It's a caliber-matched system that covers the whole routine, from knocking loose carbon and lead out of the bore to putting a protective coat on the metal before it goes back in the safe. If you shoot a .44 Mag, a .45 ACP, or a .45 Colt, this one's cut to fit.
The standout piece here is the Aftershock cleaning cable, a bore snake style tool with an integrated bronze brush that loosens fouling while the woven cotton braid behind it drags the debris right out. It's fully washable, so you rinse it and reuse it over and over instead of tossing it. Alongside the cable you get three stainless steel rod sections, a plastic handle, a brass jag, a bronze bore brush, a nylon brush, a cotton mop, and 25 synthetic cloth patches sized at 1.5 by 2 inches. That's a real spread of tools for both a quick wipe-down and a deep scrub.
The kit includes a half-ounce dropper of Aftershock CLP, Legend's one-step cleaner, lubricant, and rust preventative. It pulls out oils, dirt, copper, lead, and other gunk, then leaves behind a thin non-greasy film that fights corrosion and keeps moving parts running smooth. It plays nice with polymers and even conditions wood grips and leather, so it's safe across most of your gun. The dropper tip makes it easy to hit exact spots without slathering the whole frame.
The whole point of the Orbit kit is that it stays organized and travels light. Everything nests together so you can toss it in a range bag, keep it at the bench, or stash it with your carry setup and know you've got a complete cleaning solution on hand when the shooting's done.
This kit is set up for .44 and .45 caliber handguns, so it covers popular rounds like .44 Magnum, .45 ACP, and .45 Colt. The bore brush, jag, cotton mop, and cleaning cable are all sized to match those calibers. Legend also makes Orbit kits in other calibers if you shoot something different.
Yes. The Aftershock cleaning cable is completely washable, so you rinse it out and use it again and again rather than throwing it away after a cleaning. The integrated bronze brush loosens fouling and lead while the woven cotton braid behind it collects the debris.
You can. Aftershock CLP is safe on polymers and other synthetic surfaces, and it actually conditions and protects wood stocks and grips along with leather holsters and slings. It's the one thing they say to keep off painted surfaces.
It handles both. Between the cleaning cable, three-piece rod with brass jag, bronze and nylon brushes, cotton mop, and 25 patches, you've got the tools for a proper deep clean as well as a fast range-day wipe-down. The CLP rounds it out by cleaning, lubricating, and protecting in one step.
