If you run the same loads over and over, the Lee Quick Change Drum Set 90453 solves one of the biggest headaches at the bench: re-dialing your powder measure every single time you switch cartridges. Instead of fiddling with the brass drum again and again, you keep a nylon drum set for each of your go-to recipes and just drop in the right one. The set includes four precision-molded nylon drums, each with its own metering chamber, so your charge weight stays locked in exactly where you left it.
You get two small drums that cover charges from 25 ACP all the way up to 223 Remington, plus two large drums that handle 223 Remington on up to large belted magnums. The large drums also come with an adapter insert that drops their capacity down for lighter charges, so you can effectively cover the smaller-drum range with them too. That spread of charge weights means one set can serve a reloader running pistol rounds, small rifle, and big magnums all on the same measure.
Every drum is infinitely adjustable within its range and takes no tools to set. Each one ships with a graduated adjustment key, where one full turn of the adjusting screw moves roughly one grain, or .1cc of powder. The key is marked in .01cc graduations, which lets you fine-tune in 1/10 grain steps when you're chasing a specific load. Once you've got a charge where you want it, mark the setting and the powder type right on the flat of the drum so you can grab it again months down the road without guessing.
This drum set works with the Lee Classic Powder Measure and the Lee Auto Drum Powder Measure. Reloaders who already own one of those measures tend to pick up a few of these so their most-used recipes are always one swap away, which is a real time saver when you're bouncing between calibers in a single session.

That's the whole point of the set, since you can leave a drum dialed to a specific powder and grain weight and come back to it whenever you reload that cartridge.
