The LaserMax Guide Rod Laser for these larger frame Glocks puts the laser where it needs to be, inside the gun. Unlike rail-mounted options that add bulk and require new holsters, this replaces your factory spring guide assembly with a built-in laser sighting system. Since it sits as close to the bore as possible, your point of aim and point of impact stay consistent across all distances, which matters when you're training or carrying.
If you can field strip your Glock, you can install this. The process takes about 10 to 20 minutes using basic tools you already have. You get a new custom takedown lever as part of the package, and it comes with everything needed for Gen4 Glocks including the adapter ring. The big difference from external lasers: this one ships pre-aligned from the factory at 20 yards and never drifts out of alignment. No adjustments, no re-zeroing after battery changes.
This laser meets or exceeds Mil-Spec and Homeland Security durability standards, which means it survives drop tests, extreme temperatures, humidity, salt water fog, deep water immersion, and over 20,000 rounds of live fire. The construction uses aircraft-grade aluminum and genuine Wolff springs, so it's designed to keep working through whatever you throw at it. Battery life runs about 1 hour on the included 393 silver oxide batteries.
The green laser at 532 nanometers produces a 0.31-inch dot at 7 yards and puts out less than 5 milliwatts of power. It pulses by default for better visibility indoors and at dusk, but you can program it to stay steady if that's your preference. The ambidextrous on/off switch is built into the custom takedown lever, so activation is natural when you draw the pistol. Your existing holster works fine since there's nothing sticking out.

Green lasers are significantly brighter and more visible than red in low-light conditions and indoors. In bright daylight beyond about 7 to 10 yards, the dot becomes harder to spot. For carry, training, or home defense where you'll likely be using it in low-light scenarios, green is the better choice, but it's not intended as a primary aiming tool in full daylight.
The LaserMax Guide Rod Laser comes factory-aligned and features no external adjustment screws by design. It's guaranteed to be within specification and stays zeroed permanently. If alignment ever issues arise, LaserMax handles repairs through their warranty, but in normal use you won't need adjustments.
