The result is a grip that fits the natural geometry of your hand instead of forcing your hand to adapt to it, and it works equally well for right or left handed shooters thanks to its fully ambidextrous shape.
The front and back of the grip feature flat panels that mirror the way your hand actually closes around a pistol grip, rather than the rounded, one-size-fits-all shape found on most factory grips. That flat front also doubles as an indexing point, helping you keep the rifle level and square to the target without having to think about it. A sculpted palm swell on each side settles into the hollow of your palm, and a gentle taper draws your hand up toward the receiver so it doesn't creep down during recoil.
This version comes with an aggressive, coarse texture along the sides that bites into your palm for real traction, whether your hands are dry, sweaty, or wet from the weather. It's molded from glass-filled polymer, which keeps the grip lightweight but stands up to the abuse of range days and field use without getting chewed up or losing its shape. LaRue also built in an extended beavertail at the top of the grip, which fills the gap behind the trigger guard and gives your hand another point of reference for a consistent, repeatable grip every time you shoulder the rifle.
This particular version, marked LC for large caliber, is sized and shaped specifically for AR-10 and AR-308 pattern lowers, so it's not interchangeable with the AR-15 sized A-PEG grip. This specific version, the LT750-LC-BLK, is sized for AR-10 and AR-308 pattern lowers only. LaRue makes a separate A-PEG grip in the smaller AR-15 fitment, so double check the model number before ordering if you're not sure which platform you have.
Yes, the whole point of the A-PEG design is that it's fully ambidextrous. The flats and palm swells on both sides are shaped the same way, so it feels natural no matter which hand is on the trigger.
Installation is about as simple as it gets. It uses the same grip screw setup as a standard mil-spec lower, so you just remove your old grip and swap this one on with a screwdriver.
