The Lantac Dragon is one of those parts that earns its keep two ways. Thread it onto a 9mm host with a 13.5×1 LH muzzle and you get a genuinely effective brake that flattens recoil and keeps the sights settled. When you're ready to run suppressed, that same brake becomes your mount for a Dead Air Wolfman KEYMO can. No swapping devices, no re-timing every time you want to go quiet.
Under the hood, Lantac uses their Short Energy Pulse (SEP) system. The idea is simple enough once you see it in action: instead of letting recoil energy stack up shot over shot, the SEP design shortens each pulse so the second and third rounds don't build on the first and walk you off target. Ports up top pull the muzzle back down while side ports keep the gun from wandering left or right. On a snappy little 9mm carbine or pistol, that adds up to a setup that stays put during fast strings.
This one is machined on Swiss lathes from AISI 4140/4150 steel, hardened to 48-52 Rockwell C, then QPQ nitrided to AMS2753D standards for corrosion resistance and a long service life. Each unit is serial numbered for quality control and made in the USA. The KEYMO mount interface is licensed from Dead Air, so mounting the Wolfman doesn't mess with your suppressor's warranty. It weighs in around 3.68 oz and measures roughly 2.37 inches long, so it won't add noticeable bulk up front.
Installation is straightforward if you've timed a brake before. It ships with a timing shim set and a Taper Lock adapter to dial in alignment, and Lantac recommends Rocksett thread locker (sold separately) to keep everything locked in for the long haul. Yes. This version is cut for 13.5×1 left-hand threads, which is the standard on the SIG MPX and other 9mm hosts using that pitch. As long as your barrel is threaded 13.5×1 LH, you're good to go.
