Lantac machines this adapter from 17-4 PH stainless steel hardened to H900 condition, then treats it with a QPQ nitride finish for wear and corrosion resistance that shrugs off carbon, heat, and weather. At 3.9 ounces it adds very little weight to the front of your rifle, which matters when the whole point of running direct thread is keeping the setup light and compact.
