Description

The LANTAC Enhanced Bolt Carrier Group (E-BCG) is an M16 full-auto style BCG designed for AR-15 platform use in 223/5.56 configurations. The carrier is precision machined from 8620 steel and the bolt is shot-peened and magnetically particle inspected, manufactured from Carpenter 158 or 9310. The carrier assembly receives a QPQ (Quench Polish Quench) nitride case treatment for a hard, low-friction, corrosion-resistant surface. Forward-facing, shrouded gas ports and a flared boss at the tail of the carrier are intended to improve lock consistency and reduce upper-receiver pressurization under certain conditions.
