LANTAC built the Enhanced Bolt Carrier Group to fix one of the biggest complaints AR-10 owners have: the sharp, snappy recoil that comes with feeding .308 and 7.62 NATO. The heart of the design is a set of patented shrouded and forward facing gas ports that have been resized to vent gas differently than a standard carrier. The result is a rifle that runs flatter, with a smoother energy pulse and a softer start to carrier movement. It's the kind of upgrade you feel behind the trigger, not just read about on paper.
Under the finish, this is a serious piece of hardware. The carrier is precision machined from 8620 steel and cut to full auto M16 dimensions, which adds mass and lock time for smoother, more consistent cycling. The whole carrier assembly gets a QPQ (Quench Polish Quench) black nitride treatment, a nitrocarburizing case hardening process that creates a very hard, smooth surface with strong corrosion resistance and a low coefficient of friction. You also get the LANTAC CP-R360-H domed head cam pin machined from 17-4PH stainless and hardened to H900, which reduces wear inside your upper receiver.

This E-BCG is built to the DPMS Gen 1 pattern, which is the most common .308/7.62 platform out there. If your rifle uses a DPMS Gen 1 style bolt carrier group, this will drop right in.
