The drain lock is a simple switch on the floor plate. Leave it closed for normal use. If you're in wet or very dusty conditions, flip it open and small drain holes in the floor plate let water or dust escape. The magazine also has drainage channels built into the floor plate itself to help clear the internals.
The hardened steel feed lips on this magazine won't bend, deform, or crack from repeated use or hard drops like pure polymer lips can. The steel wraps completely around the magazine opening and includes a stainless insert on the front, which prevents dimpling even with high-volume shooting and long-term loaded storage.
