Tactical Liberator MK2 fixes that with a shell molded specifically for the VP9 and VP9SK, designed in CAD and pressure formed to hug the pistol's contours with real precision. Each holster is CNC cut and drilled, then finished by hand, which is why the edges come out smooth instead of sharp and snaggy like some budget Kydex.
The big selling point here is versatility. The Liberator MK2 is completely ambidextrous, so it works for right or left handed carry, and the mounting setup flips between inside and outside the waistband. The included 1.75 inch belt clip handles standard belts, and the shell is also drilled to accept Ulti-Clips and other common mounting hardware if you want to run it a different way. Retention is screw adjustable, so you can set it anywhere from range-day loose to a firm click that locks the pistol in until you want it out. Cant adjusts a full 15 degrees in either direction, which covers everything from straight drop to a deep FBI tilt behind the hip.
The shell is formed from 0.080 inch black Kydex, thick enough to hold its shape through daily wear without adding bulk on your belt. A covered magazine release is molded into the design, so brushing against a seatbelt or car seat won't dump your mag into your waistband. Yes, this shell is molded to accommodate both the H&K VP9 and the subcompact VP9SK. With the full-size VP9, a bit more of the slide sits below the shell, but the trigger guard and retention area lock in the same way. Fitment is the same molded Kydex fit either way.
You can. The holster is fully ambidextrous, so the clip mounts to either side of the shell. That same design lets you flip between inside the waistband and outside the waistband carry, so one holster covers right or left hand, IWB or OWB.
Retention adjusts with a screw near the trigger guard area. Tighten it for a firmer hold or back it off for a smoother draw. Cant is adjusted at the clip mounting points and can be set anywhere from -15 to +15 degrees to match your preferred carry angle and draw stroke.
Yes, the MK2 shell is drilled to accept Ulti-Clips along with other common aftermarket mounting options, though those are sold separately. The included 1.75 inch belt clip works great for standard belt carry, but Ulti-Clip compatibility gives you options like beltless carry if that suits your setup.
