The Defender is the holster LAG Tactical built its reputation on, and it makes a lot of sense paired with a Sig P365. You get one precision molded Kydex shell with two sets of 1.5 inch belt loops in the box, one for inside the waistband concealment and one for outside the waistband carry. Swapping between the two takes a few minutes with basic tools, so the same holster covers your daily carry, range days, and everything in between without buying a second rig.
The shell is formed from 0.08 inch Kydex molded specifically to the standard P365, so retention rides on the trigger guard area instead of dragging across the whole slide. That keeps friction off your pistol's finish while still giving you a solid, audible click when the gun seats. Retention is adjustable with a screw, and you can tweak ride height and cant to dial in your draw angle. It comes set with a 10 degree forward cant, which most folks find natural for strong side carry around the 3 to 4 o'clock position.
LAG molds the body side of the Defender flatter than most production Kydex, which pulls the little Sig in tight and cuts down on printing. A full sweat guard runs between you and the slide, so you are not catching sharp edges on your side and your pistol stays protected from perspiration. At well under half a pound, the whole setup is light enough that you stop noticing it a few hours into the day.
Every Defender is made in the USA and backed by a lifetime warranty, and the flared mouth makes one handed reholstering smooth and consistent. If you carry a P365 and want a single holster that handles concealed carry and open range work without compromise, this right hand model is a hard combination to beat.
This model is molded for the standard Sig P365. The P365 XL has a longer slide and will not seat properly in this shell, and LAG makes dedicated Defender models for the larger P365 variants like the XMACRO. If you run an XL or XMACRO, grab the version cut for that pistol.
The holster ships with two sets of 1.5 inch belt loops, one for inside the waistband and one for outside. Swapping them is a simple hardware change that takes just a few minutes with a screwdriver. Once the loops are on, the same shell works for either carry style.
Yes. The Defender uses screw adjustable retention so you can set the draw tension exactly where you like it, from a light range setting to a firm carry hold. Ride height and cant are adjustable too, so you can fine tune the whole setup to your body and draw stroke.
This is a non light bearing holster, so it will not accommodate a P365 with a light mounted on the rail. Most slide mounted micro red dots will clear since the optic sits above the shell, but the fit is molded for a standard P365 setup. If you run a light, look at LAG's light bearing options instead.
