Most folks who carry a Glock 43 or 43X end up buying two holsters, one for concealed carry and one for the range. The L.A.G. Tactical Defender takes care of both jobs with a single rig. It ships with two sets of 1.5 inch belt loops, one set for inside the waistband and one for outside, and swapping between them takes just a few minutes with basic tools. That means your everyday concealment setup and your weekend range holster are the same piece of gear, which also means your draw stays consistent no matter how you're wearing it.
Retention on the Defender is adjustable with a single screw below the trigger guard. Tighten it down for a firmer hold or back it off for a smoother, faster draw, whatever suits the way you shoot. The 10 degree forward cant angles the grip for a natural draw stroke and helps tuck the butt of the pistol in against your side, which cuts down on printing under a t-shirt. The Kydex shell is molded specifically to the 43 and 43X, so the fit is snug and the trigger guard stays fully covered from the moment you holster up.
At well under half a pound, this holster pulls its weight without adding any. The slim profile hugs the pistol close to the body, and Kydex won't collapse when the gun comes out, so one-handed reholstering is no trouble. It shrugs off sweat and weather in a way leather never will, and there's no break-in period to fuss with. L.A.G. Tactical builds these by hand in the USA and stands behind them with a lifetime warranty, and their reputation for taking care of customers is a big part of why the Defender has become their most popular model. This version is molded for right-handed carry in matte black, an easy pick if you want one holster that genuinely does it all.
Yes, this model (part number 1053) is molded to fit both the Glock 43 and the 43X. The two pistols share the same slide profile, so the shell locks up properly on either one. The slightly longer 43X grip sits above the holster and doesn't affect fit.
The holster comes with two sets of 1.5 inch belt loops, one for inside the waistband and one for outside. Swapping them is a simple hardware change that takes a few minutes with a basic screwdriver. That makes it easy to run OWB at the range and go back to concealed carry afterward.
Yes. There's a tension screw located below the trigger guard that lets you fine tune retention. Tighten it for a more secure hold or loosen it for a quicker draw, and check your setting with an unloaded pistol until it feels right.
This standard Defender is molded for a stock Glock 43 or 43X without a light or optic cut. If you're running an accessory rail light or a slide-mounted red dot, L.A.G. Tactical offers other configurations built for those setups. For a bone stock pistol, this is the right fit.
