Keystone Sporting Arms took their proven Crickett single shot bolt action and rebuilt it for the trail, starting with a chassis machined from a solid billet of 6061 aluminum, black anodized and laser engraved with the Overlander logo. Hanging off the front is a 16.125 inch carbon fiber barrel with a threaded muzzle and included protector cap, so adding a suppressor or other muzzle device is a simple twist away. All in, the whole rifle weighs just 3 pounds 8 ounces, which you will appreciate about five miles into a hike.
The telescoping buttstock uses a dual push button release and collapses the rifle down to 26.375 inches overall, stretching back out to 31.75 inches when it is time to shoot. Length of pull adjusts across multiple positions, so the same rifle fits a younger shooter learning the ropes and a full-grown adult plinking cans at camp. A carbon fiber cheek rest keeps your face planted consistently, and the skeletonized stock hides a clever bonus: a carbon fiber storage tube for stashing a few essentials. Metal front and rear peep sights come standard, with the rear being adjustable, and the chassis is drilled and tapped for Crickett and Crickettinny scope mounts plus Magpul rail sections if you want to bolt on more.
