There is nothing else on the rack that runs like a Vector. The KRISS Vector CRB Gen 3 in .45 ACP uses the Super V Recoil Mitigation System, a delayed blowback design where the bolt drops down and back into the frame instead of driving straight into your shoulder. Combine that with a bore axis that sits lower than just about anything else out there and you get a carbine that stays remarkably flat when you are running fast follow up shots. Big bore thump without the big bore bounce.
The Gen 3 update reworked the upper and lower housings for better ergonomics and easier customization, and the new square shroud carries M-LOK slots on the sides and bottom so lights and hand stops go on without drama. Up top you get a full length Picatinny rail for optics, with low profile flip up front and rear sights already installed so you can shoot it the day it comes home. The 16 inch barrel is 4140 chrome moly with a Black Nitride finish and comes threaded .578×28 for muzzle devices. The trigger is a crisp skeletonized design with short pre travel, and the safety is an ambidextrous short throw lever that falls right under your thumb.
Feeding is handled by full size Glock pattern .45 ACP magazines, which means spares are affordable, easy to find, and probably already in your safe if you run a Glock 21. One 10 round magazine ships with the carbine. The telescoping stock folds flat against the receiver, shrinking the whole package down for a range bag or truck case, and the 4 pin tool free takedown makes cleaning day quick.
This one earns its keep in PCC competition, range sessions, and home defense duty where a soft shooting .45 carbine makes a lot of sense. At 7.7 pounds it soaks up what little recoil the Super V system leaves behind, and the futuristic profile does not hurt either. It is the most accessible way into the Vector family, and easily one of the most fun.
It runs full size Glock pattern .45 ACP magazines, the same ones a Glock 21 takes. This model ships with a single 10-round magazine, and higher capacity Glock mags plus KRISS MagEx extensions are available separately. Spare mags are cheap and easy to find, which is a big plus for a PCC.
Instead of the bolt driving straight rearward, the Vector uses a delayed blowback design where a low mass slider travels down and back into the frame. That redirects recoil energy downward and counters muzzle rise. Paired with a bore axis that sits about as low as it gets, the result is a very flat shooting .45 that makes fast follow up shots easy.
Yes. It has a full length MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny top rail that handles red dots, LPVOs, or magnifier setups. Low profile flip up front and rear sights come installed, so they tuck down out of the way when an optic is mounted and pop up if you ever need a backup.
