There is nothing else on the rack quite like a Vector. The KRISS Vector CRB G3 in 9mm runs a closed-bolt delayed blowback action with the Super V recoil mitigation system, which redirects bolt energy down and away from your shoulder instead of straight back into it. Combine that with a bore axis that sits below the trigger and you get a carbine that stays remarkably flat through quick strings of fire. This Flat Dark Earth model wears a 16 inch barrel and feeds from full-size Glock pattern magazines, shipping with one 10-round mag in the box.
The third generation is more than a facelift. KRISS reworked the upper and lower housings for better ergonomics and easier customization, and the new square barrel shroud carries M-LOK slots for lights, hand stops, or whatever else your setup calls for. The 4140 chrome moly barrel gets a Black Nitride finish for wear resistance, and the muzzle is threaded 1/2×28 so common 9mm muzzle devices spin right on. Low profile flip-up sights come installed, with a full-length top rail waiting for a red dot or LPVO. The ambidextrous telescoping stock also folds, which shrinks the whole package down nicely for the safe or a range bag.
This is the most range-friendly member of the Vector family, and it shows. PCC competitors like how soft it shoots and how cheap 9mm keeps practice sessions, while plinkers just enjoy running a carbine that looks and handles like nothing else. Glock mag compatibility means spare magazines are easy to find and affordable, and if you already run a Glock, your existing mags drop right in. At around 7.7 pounds it soaks up what little recoil the action leaves behind, so new and experienced hands alike can stack rounds quickly. If you want a 9mm carbine with genuine engineering behind it rather than another blowback tube gun, the Vector CRB G3 makes a strong case for itself.
It runs full-size Glock 9mm pattern magazines, and this model ships with one 10-round magazine. Higher capacity Glock mags and KRISS MagEx extensions also work where you can use them. If you already own a Glock 17 or similar, your mags will drop right in.
It makes a noticeable difference. Instead of the bolt driving straight back, a low mass slider redirects energy downward, and the bore axis sits below the trigger. The result is less muzzle rise than typical straight blowback 9mm carbines, which is why the Vector is popular in PCC competition.
Yes, the 16 inch barrel is threaded 1/2×28 RH, the standard pattern for most 9mm muzzle devices and suppressor mounts. Keep in mind that with longer suppressors you may need to remove the Gen 3 M-LOK shroud for proper clearance depending on the can.
It comes with low profile flip-up sights installed, so it is range ready out of the box. The full-length top rail gives you plenty of room for a red dot or magnified optic, and the flip-ups tuck down out of the way or co-witness depending on your mount height.
