There is nothing else on the rack that looks or shoots like a Vector, and the Gen 3 CRB in Arctic Delta might be the sharpest one yet. The factory Cerakote pattern layers snow whites, pale grays, and slate tones in angular delta shapes, so this carbine stands out in the safe and blends in against snow and stone. Underneath the finish is the same off-axis Super V recoil mitigation system that made the Vector famous. Instead of driving straight back into your shoulder, the bolt energy redirects down and behind the magwell, which keeps the muzzle remarkably flat when you are running fast strings of 9mm.
KRISS reworked the upper and lower housings for this generation, and the changes are practical ones. The grip area and controls feel better in hand, the mag release is reversible, and the whole gun comes apart with four pins and no tools. The refreshed square barrel shroud adds M-LOK slots along the sides and bottom, so lights, hand stops, and sling mounts bolt right on. Low profile flip-up sights come installed, and the full-length top rail leaves plenty of room for a red dot or LPVO. The ambidextrous telescoping stock folds for compact storage, and the threaded muzzle is ready for your favorite device.
Feeding is dead simple. The CRB G3 accepts full-size Glock 17 pattern magazines and includes one 10-round mag in the box, so spares are cheap and easy to find just about anywhere. At 7.7 pounds with a 16-inch nitride-treated 4140 chrome moly barrel and a 1:10 twist, it settles nicely on target and wrings good velocity and accuracy out of standard 9mm loads.
Between the flat-shooting delayed blowback action, cheap and plentiful 9mm ammo, and mag compatibility most people already have covered, this is a range gun you will not get tired of. Add the Arctic Delta finish and you have a PCC that performs as good as it looks.
It feeds from full-size Glock 17 pattern 9mm magazines, and one 10-round mag comes in the box. Factory Glock mags and quality aftermarket Glock-pattern mags in higher capacities drop right in. If you already run Glock pistols, your existing mags will work.
Yes, and it is noticeable. The Super V system uses an off-axis bolt path that redirects recoil energy downward behind the magazine well instead of straight back. Combined with the weight of a 16-inch carbine and the mild 9mm cartridge, muzzle rise is minimal and follow-up shots come fast.
The 16-inch barrel is threaded from the factory, so muzzle devices and suppressors attach without gunsmithing. Up top there is a full-length rail for red dots or magnified optics, plus the included flip-up sights fold out of the way. The Gen 3 shroud also has M-LOK slots on the sides and bottom for lights and other accessories.
It is a factory-applied Cerakote coating, which holds up well against scratches, wear, and corrosion. The angular pattern of whites, grays, and slate was designed to break up the gun's outline in snowy or rocky terrain, but most owners pick it because it simply looks great at the range.
