The Vector has always been one of those guns people recognize on sight, and the Gen 3 CRB in 10mm might be the most interesting version of it yet. Full power 10mm out of a 16 inch barrel picks up a healthy velocity bump over a pistol, and the KRISS Super V recoil system keeps all of it surprisingly civil. Instead of driving straight back into your shoulder, the bolt assembly redirects energy down and away, so the muzzle stays flatter and follow-up shots come quicker than a 10mm carbine has any right to allow. This Arctic Delta version wears a factory Cerakote camo of angular shapes in snow white, pale gray, and slate that breaks up the outline nicely in winter terrain and just plain looks good everywhere else.
The Gen 3 update reworked the upper and lower housings with better ergonomics and cleaner lines, and the new square shroud adds M-LOK slots for lights, hand stops, or whatever else you run. A full length Picatinny top rail handles optics, and the included low profile flip-up sights fold flat when you mount glass. Controls are ambidextrous, the trigger is a pivoting single stage, and the folding telescopic stock collapses the whole package down to 34.9 inches for easy transport. The 4140 chrome moly barrel gets a black nitride treatment and comes threaded 9/16×24 for a brake or suppressor.
Magazines are the easy part. The Vector runs full size Glock pattern 10mm mags, so if you already own a G20 you have spares sitting in the safe. This configuration ships with one 10 round magazine, plus a cleaning kit, cable lock, and manual. At 7.7 pounds it soaks up recoil well while staying handy enough for range days, pistol caliber carbine matches, or a fun gun that also hits with real authority.
It feeds from full size Glock pattern 10mm magazines, the same ones a Glock 20 runs. That means spares are affordable and easy to find, and KRISS also makes extended MagEx kits if you want more capacity down the road. One 10 round magazine comes in the box with this configuration.
Instead of a heavy bolt slamming straight back, the Vector's bolt connects to a low mass slider that travels down and rearward in channels behind the magazine well. That redirects recoil energy away from your shoulder and keeps muzzle rise to a minimum. Combined with the 7.7 pound weight and 16 inch barrel, full power 10mm feels noticeably softer than you would expect.
Yes, the 16 inch barrel is threaded 9/16×24 RH, which is the common thread pattern for 10mm and .40 caliber muzzle devices. The 4140 chrome moly barrel wears a black nitride finish for corrosion resistance and long service life.
Absolutely. The Gen 3 upper has a full length Picatinny top rail that handles red dots, LPVOs, or magnifier combos with no trouble. The included low profile flip-up sights fold out of the way when you run an optic and pop up as backups if you need them. The M-LOK shroud also gives you slots for lights and other accessories.
