Recoil is the fastest way to build a flinch, and a flinch is the fastest way to blow a shot. The Kick-EEZ Slip-On Recoil Pad in small black is a no-fuss answer to both. It slides over the butt of your rifle or shotgun stock and puts a genuine Sorbothane insert between you and the kick. Sorbothane works by turning recoil energy into heat as it deforms, so instead of that sharp jolt straight into your shoulder, the energy gets absorbed and redirected out the sides of the pad. No air bladders, no bulky metal plates, just a proven material doing the heavy lifting.
This is the small size, built for butt faces measuring roughly 4-1/2" x 1-1/2" up to 4-13/16" x 1-5/8". If you're on the fence between sizes, size down. You want this pad to grip snug so it stays put shot after shot. A quick measurement of your stock's butt face length and width will tell you exactly where you land. The outer boot is an anti-slip injection-molded rubber that hugs the contour of the stock, so it isn't going to creep or wander during a range session.
One of the handier tricks with the Kick-EEZ slip-on is that it does double duty. The included 100% Sorbothane 1/2" insert not only cushions the recoil, it adds length of pull to a stock that feels a touch short. Want more? You can stack additional 1/4" or 1/2" inserts (sold separately) to fine-tune both the fit and how much cushion you're getting. Those inserts run 50 durometer Sorbothane, so they stay firm enough to shoulder cleanly while still eating recoil.
Made in the USA, this pad is a smart pickup for anyone spending real time behind a hard-kicking gun. Whether you're breaking clays, sighting in a new deer rifle, or just want to shoot longer without a bruised shoulder, it's an easy upgrade you can install in seconds and pull off just as fast.
Measure the length and width of your stock's butt face, then match it to the small range of 4-1/2" x 1-1/2" up to 4-13/16" x 1-5/8". If your measurement falls between the small and medium sizes, go with the small. You want the pad to grip snugly so it stays put while you shoot.
None at all. The pad simply slides over the butt of your existing stock, so there's no grinding, drilling, or screwing involved. That also means you can pull it off just as easily when you're done.
Yes. The pad ships with a 100% Sorbothane 1/2" insert that already adds a bit of length, and you can stack additional 1/4" or 1/2" inserts (sold separately) to lengthen it further. Adding inserts also boosts recoil absorption, so you can fine-tune both fit and cushion at once.
Kick-EEZ rates their Sorbothane design at up to 94 percent recoil reduction. The material works by converting recoil energy into heat as it compresses, then redirecting the remaining force out the sides of the pad rather than straight into your shoulder. In practice that means noticeably less punch and a lot less flinching during long sessions.
