This particular model is cut to accept KGM's R556, R556A1, R556A2, R30A1, and R30A2 cans, so if you're running or planning to run one of those suppressors on a 1/2×28 threaded barrel, this is the mounting solution KGM designed it around. For builders running a shorter upper, there's a pin hole already drilled into the brake, which lets a gunsmith pin and weld a 14.5 inch barrel out to a 16 inch overall length. That's a nice bit of foresight from KGM for anyone putting together a pinned and welded build instead of running a full 16 inch barrel from the start.
This flash brake is machined to accept KGM's R556, R556A1, R556A2, R30A1, and R30A2 suppressors. It uses KGM's taper mount and ratcheting retention system, so it's built specifically for that lineup rather than as a universal QD mount.

The threading is standard 1/2×28, so it will thread onto any barrel cut to that pattern. Just keep in mind the quick detach function is designed around KGM's own suppressor mounts, so pairing it with a non-KGM can won't give you the same attach and detach convenience.
