Description
This is BCM's answer to the KeyMod-to-Picatinny problem: a 5.5 inch nylon rail section that gives you 11 slots of standard 1913 real estate anywhere you've got open KeyMod slots. Bravo Company builds it from lightweight impact-resistant polymer and pairs it with corrosion-resistant stainless steel mounting hardware, so you get a solid platform without piling ounces onto the front of your rifle. It's cut to Mil-Standard 1913 Picatinny Arsenal specs, which means your existing rings, mounts, and clamps drop right on the way they should.
Where the KeyMod Nylon Rail Section Shines
Think lights, lasers, foregrips, and offset accessories. Owners consistently reach for these to mount weapon lights and angled foregrips like the Magpul AFG, and the fit gets described as tight and sturdy with no wobble once torqued. The tapered ends are the sleeper feature here since they smooth out the transition when you run your hand up the handguard and keep the polymer from biting into your palm.
Installing the 5.5 Inch Picatinny Rail
Setup is about as simple as it gets. The hardware is self-contained so there are no loose nuts or screws to drop in the grass, and you just line up the section on your open KeyMod slots, slide it forward, and torque it down. Keep your fasteners at or below 20 in-lbs on polymer accessories and you're good to go. A dab of blue threadlocker is never a bad idea if you want extra insurance.
A Note on Load Bearing
This nylon section is built for non-load-bearing gear like lights and lasers. If you're hanging a bipod for prone work or anything that takes real force, step up to an aluminum rail section instead. Used the way it's intended, this Flat Dark Earth rail is a clean, budget-friendly way to add Picatinny mounting exactly where you want it.

Frequently Asked Questions
What will fit on this KeyMod Picatinny rail section?
It's cut to MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny specs, so any standard Picatinny accessory will clamp right on. It's meant for non-load-bearing gear like weapon lights, lasers, red dots, and angled foregrips. For anything that takes real force, such as a bipod, go with an aluminum section instead.
How does the rail section attach to my handguard?
It mounts to any open KeyMod slots on your handguard. The stainless hardware is self-contained, so you line the section up, slide it forward into the slots, and torque it down without worrying about dropping loose parts. Keep the fasteners at or below 20 in-lbs on the polymer and it locks up solid.
Is this a full-length rail or just a section?
This is a 5.5 inch section that gives you 11 slots of Picatinny. It's designed to add mounting space exactly where you need it on an otherwise slick KeyMod handguard, rather than covering the whole thing. BCM also offers 3 inch and 4 inch versions if you need less real estate.
Does the FDE color match other Flat Dark Earth parts?
The Flat Dark Earth finish reads as a true tan and pairs well with most FDE furniture and handguards. Color shades can vary slightly between different brands and batches, so it may not be a perfect match to every FDE part, but it's a clean, consistent tan on its own.
