Swapping a catch takes a couple of screws and a few minutes. If your pistol collection leans away from Glock, this is the variant that pairs with what's already in your safe. It ships with a 15-round magazine and the catch plates to get you configured out of the box.
The 16.1 inch barrel wears 1/2×28 threading for muzzle devices or a suppressor, and 9mm out of a carbine-length barrel picks up a useful bump in velocity while staying soft on the shoulder. The handguard carries M-LOK slots plus Picatinny rail up top and underneath, the front sight adjusts for windage and elevation, and the simple blowback action strips down for cleaning without tools. Gen3 also brings an ambidextrous bolt hold-open and a reworked charging handle that runs smoother than earlier generations.
