This is the kit for anyone building an AR-15 lower who already knows exactly which trigger they want to run. The KAK AR-15 Lower Parts Lite Kit gives you all the small parts, springs, detents, pins, grip, and trigger guard needed to finish a lower, but leaves out the fire control group so you can install your favorite aftermarket or match trigger without paying for parts you'll toss in a bin. It's the same well-regarded KAK LPK, just built around the assumption that you're bringing your own hammer and trigger to the party.
KAK produces the parts throughout, so you're not getting a bag of mystery components sourced from who-knows-where. You get a KAK billet trigger guard, a standard A2 pistol grip with hardware, stainless steel springs, magazine catch and button, bolt catch with roll pin and plunger, front pivot pin, rear takedown pin, safety selector, buffer retainer and spring, and all the matching detents. What's missing on purpose is the hammer, trigger, disconnector, their springs, and the two FCG pins. That's the whole point of the Lite designation.
All the parts are cut to mil-spec dimensions, which keeps things compatible with the vast majority of standard AR-15 lowers on the market. Builders running Anderson, Aero, and other common receivers have had good luck dropping these parts straight in. The stainless springs are a nice touch for longevity, and the billet trigger guard gives you a little more room and a cleaner look than a stamped part.
If you're pairing this with a two-stage match trigger, a drop-in cassette, or a nicer single-stage unit, the Lite Kit keeps your build simple and your parts count clean. Grab a buffer assembly kit alongside it and you'll have the rest of what you need to finish the lower.
The Lite Kit ships without the fire control group, meaning no hammer, trigger, disconnector, their springs, or the hammer and trigger pins. That's the whole reason it exists, since it's designed for builders installing an aftermarket or match trigger of their own. Everything else needed to finish the lower is in the bag.
