The JEBS Head Hunter Turkey Choke is one of those upgrades that changes how you think about range. Yes. This tube is threaded for the standard Remington (Rem Choke) system, which covers popular 12 gauge models like the 870, 1100 and 11-87. If your barrel is stamped for Rem Choke, you are good to go. When in doubt, check what your factory chokes are threaded for before ordering.
The .655 constriction really shines with dense turkey ammo, especially TSS and premium lead turkey loads in #9, #8 and #7 shot. Because every gun is a little different, spend some time at the pattern board with a couple of load options to find the tightest core. Many hunters see a big jump in pattern density over their factory choke.
The porting near the muzzle end vents gas to help calm the muzzle jump that comes with heavy 3 and 3.5 inch magnum turkey rounds. It takes a bit of the sting out of those stout loads so you can stay on target for a follow-up. It also gives the barrel that extended, business-like look a lot of turkey hunters like.
