The IWS7 uses IWI's HUB+ system, which tightens up fitment and alignment compared to standard HUB threading while staying fully compatible with the industry-standard 1.375×24 pattern. If you already own HUB mounts from other brands, they thread right in. Out of the box you get a 5/8×24 direct thread mount, so most .30 cal barrels are ready to go from day one. At 6.4 inches long with a 1.74 inch diameter and a high-temp C-Series Cerakote black finish, it keeps a compact footprint that will not throw off the balance of a hunting rifle. If you already run quick-detach mounts from other brands on your rifles, you can swap out the included direct thread mount and use what you have. IWI also publishes an approved mount and adapter list on their site.
It is rated for 7.62 NATO and 7.62 magnum rifle calibers, so .308 Win up through .300 Win Mag are fair game. It also works great on smaller bores like .300 Blackout and 6.5 Creedmoor, and you can run it on 5.56 rifles with the appropriate thread adapter.
