A muzzle device that only does one job is leaving something on the table. IWI built this LH QD Muzzle Brake to handle two: knock down felt recoil when you're running the rifle bare, and act as the fast-attach anchor for an IWS suppressor when you want to shoot quiet. It threads onto standard 5/8×24 muzzles with a 7.62mm bore, which makes it a natural fit for .308, 6.5 Creedmoor, .300 Blackout, and most other rifles wearing that thread pitch.
The LH in the name refers to the left-hand quick-detach interface where the suppressor locks on, not your barrel threads. Those stay standard. The left-hand engagement is a smart touch, since firing torque works to keep the can snug instead of backing it off. Pair this brake with IWI's HUB to QD mount on any of their centerfire IWS suppressors and you've got a setup where the can comes on and off in seconds with a consistent lockup every time. Buy a brake for each rifle in the safe and one suppressor covers the whole lineup. Just note the QD system doesn't work with the IWS22 rimfire can.
Even with the can left at home, this is a legitimate brake. The ports redirect gas to cut recoil and help keep the muzzle settled, so follow-up shots come quicker and spotting your own hits gets easier. And when the suppressor is mounted, the brake takes the initial blast instead of your baffles, which is easier on the can over the long haul.

It's designed for IWI's IWS line of centerfire suppressors when they're fitted with the IWI HUB to QD mount. That adapter uses the industry-standard 1.375×24 HUB thread, so it screws into IWS cans and locks onto this brake in seconds. The one exception is the IWS22 rimfire suppressor, which doesn't work with the QD system.

The 7.62mm bore covers .30 caliber cartridges like .308 Win and .300 Blackout, and it also works fine with smaller bores that use 5/8×24 threads, such as 6.5 Creedmoor. If your rifle has 1/2×28 threads instead, IWI makes this same brake in that pitch. Just never run a bullet larger than the bore diameter through it.
