The HUXWRX Flash Hider-QD 556 in 5/8×24 is built to do double duty. On its own it cuts down muzzle flash when you're running unsuppressed, which is a real advantage in low light or under night vision where a bright signature gives away your position. Thread on a compatible HUXWRX or OSS suppressor and it becomes a fast, repeatable mounting interface so your can clicks on without any fuss.
Despite the 5/8×24 threading, this is a true 5.56 caliber mount. The neat part is that a smaller-caliber mount plays nice with larger-caliber suppressors, so this flash hider covers a wide range of HUXWRX cans. It's compatible with the HX-QD series (556k, 556, 762, 762 Ti, and Magnum Ti) and the FLOW series (556k, 556 Ti, 6k, and 762 Ti). If you're running the VENTUM series, you'll want the HUX HUB Adapter to make the connection.
Installation is refreshingly simple. There's no clocking or timing to fuss with. You just torque it down onto the muzzle using the wrench flats on the rear of the device and you're ready to go. It uses HUXWRX Torque Lock technology, which means the flash hider actually self-tightens onto your threads with every round fired, so it stays put shot after shot.
The muzzle device measures 2.3 inches overall and adds roughly 1.7 inches to your barrel on hosts with standard 0.6-inch threads. That's worth keeping in mind for overall length and handguard clearance if you're running a shorter barrel or an extended rail. Machined from durable steel with a matte black finish, it's built to shrug off the heat and carbon that come with suppressed shooting, and it wipes clean easily after a long range day. For anyone already invested in the HUXWRX ecosystem, this is the mount that ties your rifle to your can.
This mount is compatible with the HX-QD series including the 556k, 556, 762, 762 Ti, and Magnum Ti, along with the FLOW series 556k, 556 Ti, 6k, and 762 Ti. Because it's a 5.56 caliber mount, it also works with the larger-caliber cans in those lineups. For VENTUM series suppressors, you'll need to add the HUX HUB Adapter.

The device itself is 2.3 inches long and adds about 1.7 inches to your barrel when threaded onto a standard host with 0.6-inch threads. Keep that in mind for overall length and handguard clearance, especially on shorter setups. This standard version isn't drilled for pin and weld projects.
