Hornady American Whitetail 12GA 325gr InterLock Slug

Description

When you're taking a rifled shotgun into the field, you want ammo that's built to match what your gun can do. Hornady American Whitetail slugs are purpose-built for fully rifled barrels and deliver the kind of performance that serious whitetail hunters depend on season after season.

Each round is loaded with a 325-grain InterLock hollow point projectile designed to initiate rapid expansion the moment it makes contact. What sets the InterLock apart is that mechanical ring inside the bullet that locks the copper jacket and lead alloy core together. This means the projectile holds together through the expansion process instead of coming apart, delivering better weight retention and more consistent energy transfer on game. The serrated design of the hollow point also ensures you get even expansion even when you're shooting at longer distances where impact velocity is lower.

Built for Accuracy with the Right Sabot System

The rigid polycarbonate sabot engages your rifle's rifling and spins the projectile for stability in flight. The exclusive buffer disc separates the slug from the sabot material, which keeps velocities consistent from shot to shot. This combination is what lets you trust these rounds out to distances that would be impossible with standard slug designs. With a muzzle velocity of 1825 fps and 2403 foot-pounds of energy, you're getting serious ballistics from a 2.75-inch shell.

Designed for the Midwestern Whitetail Hunt

These aren't generic slugs. They're engineered specifically for taking whitetail in the regions where slug seasons matter most. The tough lead alloy core is lethal well beyond 100 yards, and plenty of hunters successfully take bucks at ranges that would surprise someone unfamiliar with what a rifled shotgun can do. You get five rounds per box, which means you can practice and hunt with the same load.
