The Impact Sport line has been a range staple for years, and this Bluetooth version takes the formula people already trust and adds wireless audio on top. In Flat Dark Earth with a slim over-the-head design, it clamps down on harmful impulse noise while keeping you dialed into everything happening around you. That balance between protection and awareness is the whole point of an electronic muff, and this one nails it.
Two high-gain omni-directional microphones pull in low-level sounds and amplify them roughly 5X, so range commands, conversation, and rustling in the brush come through clearly. The moment a shot breaks, digital sound compression kicks in with a 0.5 millisecond reaction time and drops the volume to a safe level before it reaches your ears. It carries a 21 dB Noise Reduction Rating, which suits both pistol and rifle work at the range as well as time in the field. Separate volume controls let you manage your Bluetooth audio and the environmental amplification independently, so you can dial each one exactly where you want it.
The integrated Bluetooth 5.0 syncs to your phone for music and hands-free calls, running at a 2 Mbps data speed that's twice as quick as the older 4.2 standard for cleaner audio. The rechargeable lithium-ion battery gives you long sessions on a single charge and tops back up in about two hours. A four-hour auto shut-off is built in to save power on the days you forget to switch them off.
The low-profile ear cups are shaped to clear your firearm stock when you get down on the gun, so cheek weld stays consistent shot to shot. The padded headband adjusts for a secure fit, and the whole thing folds down compact for storage in a range bag or pack. It's a comfortable muff you can wear through a long day without fighting it.
Yes, that's the core function. The two omni-directional microphones amplify low-level sounds like range commands and conversation up to 5X, while the digital sound compression clamps down on gunfire in 0.5 milliseconds. You stay aware of your surroundings without taking the loud stuff to your ears.
These carry a 21 dB Noise Reduction Rating, which works well for handgun and rifle shooting at the range and for time in the field hunting. Many people at louder indoor ranges choose to double up with a set of foam plugs underneath for added protection.
The Impact Sport Bluetooth runs on a rechargeable lithium-ion battery that tops up in about two hours using the included charging cable. You'll get long sessions on a single charge, and a four-hour auto shut-off helps preserve power if you forget to turn them off after a range trip.
They're designed with low-profile ear cups specifically to clear your firearm stock when you shoulder a long gun. That keeps your cheek weld consistent so you're not fighting the muffs every time you get down on the rifle.
