Horizon builds this rifle around a Stiller action mated to an 18-inch 416R stainless steel barrel with the company's aggressive spiral fluting, and even with the shorter tube it pushes 80 grain ELD-M factory loads right around 3,050 to 3,070 fps. That is screaming fast for a .224 bullet, which translates to a flat trajectory, less wind drift, and very forgiving holds on coyotes and steel way out there. The 1:8 twist stabilizes the heavy-for-caliber match bullets this cartridge was designed around, and the 5/8×24 threaded muzzle is ready for your suppressor or brake the day it comes home.
The Iota EKO carbon fiber stock is the other half of the story. It is hand-laid, texture-painted, and shaped with a beavertail forend that rides bags and tripods nicely while still feeling natural offhand. Total weight lands right around 7 pounds bare, so this is a legitimate walk-in rifle, not a bench queen you regret hauling up a ridge. Overall length comes in at 37.75 inches with a 13.5-inch length of pull that fits most folks comfortably out of the box.
