Hogue built this 2-piece kit for folks who want their AR-15, M16, or M4 to feel as good as it looks. You get a collapsible buttstock and a matching beavertail pistol grip, both finished in Hogue's signature purple OverMolded rubber. It's the same soft-touch, non-slip material Hogue is known for, and it makes a real difference when your hands are sweaty, cold, or just gripping the rifle hard through a string of fire.
The collapsible stock is built on reinforced polymer with a rubber cheek rest, so your cheek weld stays comfortable instead of resting on bare plastic. This kit is made for AR-15, M16, and M4 platforms running a commercial-diameter buffer tube. Before ordering, measure or check your buffer tube, since commercial and mil-spec tubes are slightly different sizes. If yours is mil-spec, this particular stock won't sit right, so match the finish to what's on your rifle.
The beavertail grip installs using your rifle's existing factory grip screw, and Hogue does not include a separate one. Most builds already have that screw in place from the original grip, so swapping it over is simple. If you're missing yours, a standard AR-15 grip screw from any parts bin will do the job.
Hogue's OverMolded rubber gives you a soft, high-traction surface that stays planted even with wet or cold hands. The cheek rest on the stock and the finger grooves on the grip add comfort during longer range sessions. It's a noticeable step up from the bare polymer furniture that ships on most factory rifles.
The purple is purely cosmetic and doesn't change how the kit works. You're getting the same OverMolded rubber, texture, and fit as the standard black version, just with a color that helps your build stand out. It's a solid pick if you want a personalized look without giving up function.
