The Gen 2 is the evolution of the original HM50B, with the upper receiver, lower receiver, and rail redesigned for a cleaner, more modern look while shaving weight where it counts. The heart of the HM50B2 Gen 2 is its 29.25 inch button-rifled, match-grade barrel with a 1:15 twist, threaded 1-14 at the muzzle so you can run a brake or other muzzle device without any gunsmith work. The aluminum receiver keeps the overall package manageable, and the 14 inch Picatinny rail up top gives you all the real estate you need for a long-range optic with proper eye relief. An HM Target trigger rounds things out with a clean, crisp break that lets you get the most out of this cartridge at distance.
The HM Precision stock is CNC-machined aluminum, joined to the lower receiver with a steel through-bolted mounting system, so there is zero wiggle back there. Comb height, length of pull, and the butt pad all adjust to fit your build and your shooting position, and the flat-bottomed design rides a rear bag nicely. A removable 1913 rail section underneath gives you a secure spot to mount the included monopod. Up front, the ERGO Tactical Super Ambi grip works comfortably from either side.
Out of the box you get the rifle, one 10-round magazine, the removable monopod mount, and a hard case with laser-cut foam that keeps everything protected on the way to the range. At 29.75 pounds it is a dedicated precision rig, built to soak up recoil and print tight groups way out past where most rifles give up.
