The P30L is H&K's long-slide take on the P30 platform, originally developed as a duty pistol for European law enforcement. The "L" designation means a half-inch longer barrel than the standard P30, pushing you out to 4.45 inches, which pays off in a longer sight radius, better balance, and a little extra velocity. This particular variant is the V3, which is the DA/SA setup with a serrated decocker button on the rear of the slide and no external safety lever. That decocker placement is a smart call by H&K since it keeps it out of the way of your slide serrations during normal operation.
The grip system on the P30L is genuinely one of the best in the business. Three interchangeable backstraps and six swappable side panels give you 27 different grip configurations, so you can dial in the fit whether you have small hands or large ones, shoot right-handed or left.
