When the sun drops and your factory sights disappear into the slide, this is the fix. The HK 51000933 is a genuine Heckler & Koch night sight set built around a green tritium front element that stays lit on its own, no batteries, no charging, no light source needed. It's the same quality you'd expect from HK, made to sit in your slide's dovetail like it belongs there.
The layout is a classic three-dot tritium setup, meaning you get glowing reference points front and rear that line up fast in the dark. During the day the black rear frame keeps a low-key, non-distracting profile while the front dot draws your eye for quick target pickup. The front sight measures 0.2505" tall and the rear comes in at 0.3515", matching HK's factory geometry so your point of aim stays where it should. Tritium runs on a roughly 12-year half-life, so you're looking at well over a decade of dependable glow before it slowly starts to fade.
This set is cut for the HK VP9, VP9SK, VP9L, VP40, P30, P30SK, P30L, HK45, and HK45SC. One thing worth flagging: it's not made for the optic-ready VP9 models, so if you're running a VP9 OR you'll want the version cut for that slide. For everything else on the list, it's a genuine factory-fit part that drops right in without any custom machining.
Swapping these in is straightforward if you've got the right tools. Most folks use an HK-compatible sight pusher, though a brass punch and a few patient taps with a hammer will get the job done too. HK slides have a tapered profile, so take your time keeping things square, drift from the center out, and go slow. If you'd rather not risk it, any gunsmith can knock this out in a few minutes.

No. The green tritium glows on its own through a low-level reaction, so there's nothing to charge and no switch to flip. It stays lit around the clock and is ready the moment you need it in the dark.
Tritium has a half-life of roughly 12 years, so the sights stay at full brightness for about that long before the glow gradually dims. Most folks get well over a decade of solid low-light performance before a replacement is worth thinking about.
They install using an HK-compatible sight pusher or a brass punch and hammer, drifting the old sights out and the new ones in. HK slides have a tapered profile, so patience and keeping things square matter. If you'd rather leave it to the pros, any gunsmith can swap them quickly.
