The H&K USP has always had one of the most devoted followings in the pistol world, and for good reason. It was built from the ground up to be reliable under harsh conditions, and the magazines that feed it should hold up to the same standard. This is H&K's factory 30-round extended magazine for the full-size USP 9mm — not an aftermarket knockoff, not a rebuilt surplus piece. It's a genuine H&K OEM magazine manufactured to the same specs as what ships with the gun.
Construction is what sets this one apart from the older clear/translucent USP mags. The body is polymer over a steel core, giving you the durability and rigidity of a metal mag with the weight savings and corrosion resistance of the polymer exterior. The extended floor plate is also solid steel, adding a chunk of beef to the bottom of the mag that makes for a confident seating and a solid grip when you're doing a reload. These are the newer black-style mags, which the USP community widely regards as a significant step up from the earlier generation.
Compatibility covers the USP 9mm Full Size, Tactical, Expert, and Elite models. The extended length is designed to work properly with the H&K Jet Funnel magwell installed — when you have the funnel on, the mag seats flush and looks like it was always meant to be there. Without the Jet Funnel, the magazine will extend below the grip, so it does stick out, but it feeds and functions reliably either way.
This is the magazine to have if you're running a USP 9mm at the range and want to spend more time shooting than reloading, or if you're building out a full Jet Funnel setup and need additional high-cap spares. One magazine is included per package.
No, the Jet Funnel is not required. This magazine will feed and function reliably in any full-size USP 9mm without the funnel installed. The tradeoff is that without the Jet Funnel, the magazine will extend noticeably below the grip frame. With the funnel installed, it seats flush and fits as intended.
This magazine is designed for H&K USP 9mm full-size pistols, including the standard USP 9mm, the Tactical, Expert, and Elite variants. It is not compatible with the USP Compact — the Compact uses a different, shorter metal magazine that does not interchange with the full-size platform.

Yes, high-capacity extended magazines typically ship with stiffer springs, and this one is no exception. The spring will loosen up with use. A common break-in method is to load the magazine to about half capacity and let it sit for a few days before moving up to full loads. A magazine loading tool can also make the process easier if you plan to run a lot of rounds through it early on.
Yes, it will feed and cycle reliably without the Jet Funnel kit installed. The magazine body will protrude below the bottom of the grip frame since it is an extended-capacity design, but that does not affect function. If you want the magazine to sit flush with the grip, the H&K Jet Funnel magwell is the intended solution.
