The body, monolithic baffle core, and muzzle cap are all machined from 7075 aluminum, which keeps the whole package down to 12.8 ounces at 7.87 inches long. The host caps are 17-4 stainless steel where the heat and abuse actually happen, and Hi-Point includes both 1/2×28 and .578×28 versions right in the box. That covers threaded 9mm barrels and most .45 ACP hosts without hunting down adapters. The symmetrical four-piece design is a smart touch too.
