You get genuine American walnut furniture with a two piece pistol grip stock, a blued 16.37 inch round steel barrel, and a hard anodized black aluminum receiver, all wrapped around a simple blowback action that just keeps cycling. At 6.6 pounds and 35.75 inches overall, it handles quick, shoulders naturally, and the soft-recoiling 9mm makes it a rifle the whole family can shoot comfortably all afternoon.
This is the version most folks ask for, and for good reason. It comes with Henry's own 5 round and 10 round magazines, plus a Glock magazine well adapter in the box. Swap the magwell and you can run the same Glock pattern mags you already keep loaded for your pistol, which makes a ton of sense for a home defense or truck gun setup. The adapter installs by driving out a few receiver pins, no gunsmith required. Glock magazines themselves are sold separately.
Out of the box you get a screw-on front post paired with an adjustable aperture rear, a fast, old school sight picture that works. Want glass? The receiver is drilled and tapped and accepts a Weaver 63B mount, so adding a red dot or low power scope is easy. The muzzle is threaded 1/2×28 for a suppressor, and a suppressed Homesteader with subsonic 9mm is about as pleasant as centerfire shooting gets. A 1:10 twist rate stabilizes the full range of 9mm loads.
Henry sweats the small stuff here. The bolt handle is ambidextrous, the top mounted thumb safety falls right under your thumb without breaking your grip, sling swivel studs come installed, and a rubber buttpad tames what little recoil there is. Yes, this specific model ships with the Glock magazine well adapter in the box, along with Henry's own 5 round and 10 round magazines.
